Start-up a No-Haz Feedgas Program

  “No-Haz” Feedgas Sampling Kits

To characterize your feedgas source and also to conveniently & economically ship your samples internationally as non-dangerous goods (non-hazmat), 2 sampling container types are included in our No-Haz” Feedgas Sampling Kit. Each container is ideal for performing certain analytical tests + they also give us the proper gas volume needed for testing. Our No-Haz kit includes simple, pictorial sampling & shipping instructions.

Standard “No-Haz” Feedgas Sampling Kit components:

4, 1L ISBT-Grade “True Blue™” Polybags (e.g. used for detector tube-based impurity tests + sensory tests, etc.)

1, 75 or 150 cc Minicyl (a small Sulfinert passivated gas cylinder with an 25 psig inlet “check” valve to limit the fill-pressure)

Note: One of the critical tests performed with the CO2 sample in a Minicyl is a trace oxygen (O2) test - which requires a very thorough flush/fill step.

Special “No-Haz” Feedgas Sampling Kits: Radon222 Kit and Sorbent 1.4 Kits for: Gylcols, Glycerols, Trace Polycyclic Aromatics & Heavy Metal Vapors. Contact ALI if you desire to measure these non-std types of impurities in your feedgas.

Pumps, impinger kits and other rental accessories are available for sampling low pressure feedgas sources or hot stack gases. For high pressure CO2 feedgas sampling a passivated vaporizer- pressure regulator may be required. This vaporizer accessory can purchased from us (a VPR-120 unit + ST-1 flex tubing & passivated fittings). Please see our “Sampling Product” pages or contact us for more literature on these products or a quotation.

Note: Our No-Haz” LCO2 Sampling Kit is similar but also includes an NVR “can”.

Shown below are our 2 types “No-Haz” sampling containers + PolyVac low pressure sampling accessory. All involve taking a minimal volume of CO2 gas sample contained at low pressures (LT 25 psig). With our advanced instrumentation and test methods this small amount of gas is enough to perform a comprehensive CO2 feedgas testing program!

No-Haz” CO2 Feedgas Program Start-up –  4 Easy Steps

1.) If you are affiliated with beverage manufacturing or gas producing companies that already have preferred customer contractual pricing with us, please indicate this to us and we will e-mail you an appropriate group contract for review. These flexible contracts have many options. You would select the service option that is ideal for you, sign/date it and return it to us by either e-mail/fax or courier. We in turn would sign/date and return a completed contract copy to you.

If you are not associated with an existing group contract but wish to set up a service contract with us, please e-mail us with your yearly testing frequency requirements and we will develop an appropriate reduced-fee contract for you. Testing Service contracts are not necessary, but are recommended for those customers who must perform periodic CO2 feedgas testing – as they allow us to offer you list pricing discounts. If a service contract is not ideal, then we would e-mail / fax or courier to you an appropriate price quotation.

Before sending you an appropriate quotation or invoice & sampling kits, customers should review the information about any necessary sampling accessories you may need for safe & proper CO2 feedgas sampling. Common accessories include passivated vaporizers-pressure regulators, passivated transfer tubing, pressure relief hardware, fittings, PolyVac Chambers, 222-Pumps, Cool-Train Condenser or personal safety equipment.

Some of the more common items requested by customers are listed on page 1. Please contact if you may need additional sampling items. Accessory equipment items can either be purchased from us directly – or in some cases, a convenient pay-out plan can be arranged. Please contact us if a pay-out plan is desired.

Note 1: If signed, hard-copy, original report documents are required to be mailed to you, there will be an additional nominal charge for this service. Please indicate this requirement at the time you are requesting a quotation or invoice.

2.) After a signed contract or if a quotation + subsequent purchase order have been received, we would e-mail or fax to you an appropriate invoice + bank account information for wire transfer of funds. Alternatively, a check by a US-affiliated bank or major credit card would be accepted.

3.) Upon our receipt of either a wire-transfer payment, check or credit card approval, the appropriate CO2 sampling kits + simple pictorial sampling instructions + return shipping containers + return shipping papers + any purchased sampling accessories would be immediately express shipped to you.

Upon receipt of the CO2 sampling kits, you would obtain the appropriate CO2 sample by following our enclosed pictorial sampling instructions then make arrangements for the return sample shipment to us as a NON-HAZMAT.

NOTE: CAREFULLY FOLLOW OUR INSTRUCTIONS FOR DESCRIBING THE SAMPLE ON ENCLOSED RETURN SHIPPING DOCUMENTS!

Note: One convenient option we offer is pre-paid Round-Trip Shipping using our contract international courier. With this option, the customer simply signs/dates the return paperwork (which is in our sampling kit box) and calls our local courier for sample pick-up.

4.) Upon arrival of your sample at our laboratory, we will perform all required tests and e-mail or fax a complete final report to you about your CO2 feedgas quality. If you have any questions about your report you can call or e-mail or fax us and we would be most happy to explain any test result or make any desired recommendations.

That’s it! – just 4 simple steps to start a CO2 feedgas testing program!
