       To perform ISBT Method 8.0 "TOTAL NON-VOLATILE AND NON-VOLATILE ORGANIC RESIDUES BY GRAVIMETRY" ALI offers the NVR-8.0 Kit.This kit includes a rugged, electropolished, 2L, wide-mouth ss container + protective ss lid/retaining clip/Velcro^® assembly*. This lid assembly protects snow samples from external contamination and maintains a safe level of container pressure during snow charge evaporation. Because of the highly reflective internal surface, the presence of trace NVR/NVOR impurities can be visually detected after sample evaporation (sublimation). Also included is a zip-lock storage container+ double walled shipping box for convenient and economic sample transport (as non-hazardous material) to ALI for ISBT gravimetric testing and further analysis.

 * To perform ISBT Method 8.0 the user must also have appropriate support equipment and supplies that are NOT included in the NVR-8.0 Kit. This includes, for example: passivated CO₂ snowmaking equipment (for ISBT Sampling Method 1.3), weight scale, warming oven, safety goggles/face shield, cryogenic safety gloves and hearing protection.

       With a NVR-8.0 Kit, samples for ISBT NVR/NVOR testing + visual evaluations of NVR/NVOR levels can be safely and easily obtained on-site by non-technical personnel after minimal training. It is designed for:

 Components

- NCO-2L: A special 2L, wide-mouth, electro-polished ss container that can contain over 500 g of snow sample and is shipped pre-cleaned and ready-to-use.

- NLID-2L: A special ss lid/retaining clip assembly designed to protect the sample during snow evaporation and transport. The clip assembly allows the lid to slightly "lift" to relieve the build-up of container pressure, which occurs during CO₂ snow evaporation.

- NINST-8.0: A set ofpictorial NVR-8.0 Kit sampling/shipping instructions. Note: Users are strongly recommended to purchase a copy of the latest ISBT CO₂ test method document directly from the ISBT office*.

- SnowMaker-1.3 Kit: Sulfinert passivated snow-making kit for performing ISBT Sampling Method 1.3.

- CRYGL-14: The safe sampling of liquid CO₂ requires several types of safety equipment including cryogenic safety gloves. ALI recommends these 14” long gloves for ISBT liquid CO₂ sampling.

- SAFE-T-SHIELD: This ergonomic face shield is recommended for all ISBT sampling.

- SAFE-T-HEAR: These adjustable, safety ear protectors are recommended for ISBT snow sampling.
