In order to properly perform ISBT Sampling Method 1.2 "CARBON DIOXIDE SAMPLING USING INERT, POLYMERIC SAMPLING BAGS" or for use in CO₂ feedgas testing, ALI offers its True Blue PolyBag-1.2^TM Kit. This kit includes 4, advanced, ISBT-grade, 1L polymeric sampling bags that include advanced inert components and are manufactured under special conditions to ensure their purity. Every True Blue Polybag lot is analyzed by ALI for trace ISBT-list impurities (volatile sulfur, oxygenates & BTEX) and comes with a certificate of analysis. True Blue polybags are equipped with an rugged, specially cleaned & capped polypropylene valve. These reliable valves have a septum port and a 3/16" [5 mm] OD stem for convenient sample-filling and testing. Also included is a 3/16" clean, inert plastic T-fitting assembly with a Sulfinert passivated ¼” compression adapter (SHA-316). This special T-fitting is used to connect the sample bag to either a liquid CO₂ vaporizer--pressure regulator unit or a feedgas stream valve. With this clever T-fitting only simple "finger-pressure" is needed for easy,safe sample bag filling. This system greatly minimizes the chance of rapid, uncontrolled bag overfill and rupture.

A key advantage of a True Blue PolyBag-1.2^TM Kit, is that because of the minimal amount of gas contained and the low storage pressure (approx. 0 psig, [0 kPa]), your CO₂ sample can be properly and economically shipped by DOT / IATA regulations as a non-hazardous industrial sample of "no-commercial value"! 

 As most CO₂ samples are air-shipped to our certified laboratory for testing, ALI also includes 2, 1 gal. shipping cans with re-useable ring-seals for gas-tight protection of sample-filled bags. This critical feature allows you to fill a sampling bag to 80-90% capacity and not have to worry about gas overexpansion in a non-pressurized aircraft compartment. Without a gas-tight outer container, the gas within a sample bag will greatly expand during flight, which often causes leakage or sudden bag rupture-sample loss. Bag damage results in many problems including costly delays and needed re-sampling activities. Both ring-sealed cans are packed side-by-side within a sturdy shipping box. An "Analysis Request" form is included for customer convenience.

Every True Blue PolyBag-1.2 Kit™ includes a set of simple, pictorial sampling instructions for liquid CO₂ and high or low pressure feedgas streams. ALI is also a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of all recommended vaporizer-pressure regulators, connective hardware and safety equipment for proper ISBT Sampling Method 1.2 including:

- VPR-120-60-S: Sulfinert passivated CO₂ vaporizer - pressure regulator (PR-60, 0-60 psig delivery model with ¼’ compression outlet port in a “straight” configuration is recommended). This unit is equipped with 1/4" compression inlet/outlet fittings, an inlet needle valve for vaporization control + pressure relief devices for over-pressure safety.

- SHA-316: Sulfinert passivated 1/4" compression-to-3/16" hose adapter for mating a VPR-120 to the 3/16" ID "long tube" arm of the PolyBag-1.2 T-fitting.- SPRA-1800:Sulfinert passivated, 1800 psig [12,400 kPa] pressure relief assembly with 1/4" compression inlet/outlet fittings.

- ST-1: Sulfinert & PTFE passivated, 1' [30 cm] high-pressure rated, flexible ss sampling tubing with 1/4" compression fittings.

- SCFU-1/4: Sulfinert passivated 1/4" compression m/m union (for mating an ST-1 onto a SHA-316 / plastic T-fitting 

- CRYGL-14: The safe sampling of liquid CO₂ requires several types of safety equipment including gloves designed for handling cryogenic materials. ALI recommends these 14" long gloves for all ISBT liquid CO₂ sampling.

- SAFE-T-SHIELD: This ergonomic face shield is recommended for all ISBT liquid CO₂ sampling.

 ALI also offers sales of replacement 1L True Blue^TM polymeric sampling bags in boxes of 10 (p/n TBLU-1L) and replacement plastic T-fitting assemblies (without SHA-316) as packs of 10 (TFIT-10). Other True Blue^TM polymeric bag sizes are also available.
