CS-25
1L Cylinder Support
In order to properly orient a dip-tube equipped SPC-1L 1L sampling cylinder for performing ISBT / CGA / EIGA specified tests on liquid CO2, ALI offers the CS-25 cylinder support.
This cylinder support is designed to safely and securely position a 1L SPC-1L sampling cylinder in a vertical position with the dip-tube pointing downward. In this manner, when connected to a VPR-120-90 vaporizer-pressure regulator, a vaporized-pressure controlled sample stream from the liquid phase of the CO2 can be obtained for testing. As many CO2 impurities tend to concentrate on the liquid-phase, all ISBT / CGA / EIGA tests associated with beverage-grade CO2 require a vaporized liquid-phase sample. A simple, pictorial instruction sheet concerning assembly and use of a CS-25 is included. This unit can be assembled in less than 5 min.
Components
-CS-25: Sturdy, heavy-duty tripod base + 25" support rod
-CCR-25:4" Open Ring / 90o Clamp Unit
-CUC-25: Upper 2-finger / 90o clamp assembly with nylon-coated ss lanyard/clip.
-CS-INST: CS-25 Assembly & Use Instructions (pictorial).

CS-25
Cylinder Support Instructions
This cylinder support is designed to safely and securely position a 1L SPC-1L sampling cylinder in a vertical position with the dip-tube pointing downward. In this manner, a vaporized sample stream from the liquid phase of the CO2 can be obtained for testing. As many CO2 impurities tend to concentrate on the liquid-phase, ISBT / CGA / EIGA tests associated with beverage-grade CO2 require a vaporized liquid-phase sample.
The CS-25 is assembled by tightly threading the PTFE-taped support rod onto the sturdy, heavy-duty tripod base (p/n CB-25). The 4" Open Ring / 90o Clamp Unit (p/n CCR-25) is then installed onto the support rod. During this process the slot in the ring should be positioned directly over a Tripod base leg, for maximum SPC-1L support stability. The vertical height of the clamp above the iron base should be set as low as possible (approx. 16” above table height), so that the outlet line from a connected VPR-120 (90o Configuration) vaporizer will be just above this tripod base (see attached Figure). The short 4" Ring Stem is designed to ensure that this ring is also positioned as close to the support rod as possible, to maximize SPC-1L support stability.
The Upper 2-Finger / 90o Clamp (p/n CUC-25) should be installed at an appropriate height so that the 2-rubber-clad fingers can securely clamp around the SPC-1L's upper collar (see attached Figure). The position of this clamp relative to the support rod should be adjusted to keep the SPC-1L in a vertical position, as close to the support rod as possible. All clamp screws should be securely tightened after optimal clamp-height positioning.
The entire CS-25 unit should be kept as far away from the test bench edge as practical in order to minimize the chance of accidental contact. A nylon-coated ss lanyard with a clip pin should be wrapped around the SPC-1L's upper collar and clipped onto itself. This provides additional SPC-1L clamping security in the event of a burst-disk failure.
