Passivated LCO₂ Snowmaking & Sampling Kit

 In order to properly perform ISBT Sampling Method 1.3 "CARBON DIOXIDE SAMPLING USING SNOW HORN EQUIPMENT", ALI offers the SnowMaker-1.3Kit. Snow samples are required for performing many tests including: ISBT Method 8.0 “TOTAL NON-VOLATILE AND NON-VOLATILE ORGANIC RESIDUES BY GRAVIMETRY”, ISBT Method 15.0 “ODOR OF CARBON DIOXIDE SNOW”, as well as a CGA Test Method “Non-Volatile Residue Content”.

 With a SnowMaker-1.3 Kit, 500 – 800 g of CO₂ snow can be quickly and easily generated from liquid CO₂. Unlike other snow-making devices, all SnowMaker-1.3 Kit hardware consist of Sulfinert passivated + inert components. NO brass or rubber elastomer components are used. Brass can react with, or adsorb sensory-active impurities such a sulfur compounds and should be not be used in any bev-grade CO₂tests. Elastomeric components are prone to wear particle generation, which could cause test errors.

 Components

 A SnowMaker-1.3 Kit consists of: a ST-3 Sulfinert + PTFE passivated, 3', high-pressure, flexible ss tubing with 1/4” compression fittings, Sulfinert passivated horn-connecting hardware, rugged polypropylene snow horn, plastic bag ring, 1 clean, heavy-duty snow-bag and simple, pictorial sampling instructions. ALI 's flexible tubing design makes direct LCO₂ sampling from tanker trucks, rail cars or storage vessels rapid, safe and convenient.

 Recommended Accessories

 NVR-8.0 Kit: This kit consists of a pre-cleaned, ready-to-use, electropolished 2L ss vessel + ss lid/handle unit. It is specifically designed for use in CGA or ISBT methods for non-volatile residue (NVR) & non-volatile organic residue (NVOR) in liquid CO₂. The unique advantages of this NVR-8.0 Kit are its ruggedness and, because of its highly reflective, mirror-like interior, users can easily detect any trace, non-volatile impurities immediately after snow evaporation! This kit also contains special shipping materials so that a residue sample can be economically transported (as a non-hazardous material) to ALI's testing lab. Simple, pictorial sampling instructions are included.

-SPRA-1800: Sulfinert Passivated 1800 psig (12,400 kPa) pressure relief assembly.

-CGA-320-1/4C: Sulfinert Passivated CGA-320 adapter with a 1/4" compression outlet port + PTFE washer.

-CRYGL-14: The safe sampling of liquid CO₂ requires several types of personal safety equipment including cryogenic safety gloves. ALI recommends these 14” long gloves for ISBT/CGA CO₂ snow-sampling.

-SAFE-T-SHIELD: This ergonomic face shield is recommended for ISBT/CGA CO₂ snow-sampling.

-SAFE-T-HEAR: These adjustable, safety ear protectors are recommended for ISBT/CGA CO₂ snow-sampling.

 Replacement Parts

 Replacement snow bags are sold as packs of 3 (SBAG-3). Replacements bag rings are sold as packs of 3 (SRING-3). Replacement PTFE washers are sold as packs of 5 (SWASHER-5).
