Total Hydrocarbon Analyzer System

To ensure that your bev-grade CO₂ meets ISBT guidelines for total volatile hydrocarbons (THC), ALI offers the THA-10.0™ Instrument Package. A rugged, industry standard GOW-MAC Model 23-550A Total Hydrocarbon Analyzer + ALI customized hardware allows you to quickly obtain THC data as described in ISBT Method 10.0. This unit can either be bench or rack-mounted.

With an integrated GAS-5XLT™ System, accurate THC test results can be routinely obtained by non-technical personnel after minimal training.

This “turn-key” package can be operated in a “stand-alone” mode or interfaced with an ASCM-10™ (for automatic sample delivery and calibration control) or mated to a GAS-5™ (bench-mount version) or GAS-5XLT™ system by a single compression fitting. Necessary hardware items (e.g. cal gas pressure regulators, valves, flexible gas lines + fittings) are included. Calibration gases, support gas generators + associated hardware are available as recommended accessories. Instrument assembly can be completed in less than 5 min. Calibration is rapid and simply requires a “blank” and "span" gas standard. For bench mount operations when an ASCM-10™ is not employed, a gas inlet selection (GIS) valve option allows you to conveniently control the calibration and sample measurement process without having to make or break any gas line connection. When rack-mounted, a Model ASCM-10™ performs equivalent manual or automated gas inlet selection functions. Sample THC measurements are obtained in less than 1 minute and are digitally displayed. No calculations are required. THA-10 options such as 4-20 mA outputs + pre-set alarms are available for performing continuous THC monitoring if needed. This versatile system is designed for:

Support, Supplies & Service

The THA-10.0™ System Package includes a GOW-MAC Operations Manual + GAS-5™ Interface Instructions. An ISBT-approved method for THC testing is also included. These simple instructions contain helpful, color pictorial examples. ALI manages all requests for installation, training, supplies, replacement parts, maintenance or technical service. ALI also coordinates instrument service requests with GOW-MAC Instrument Co. who perform any needed Model 23-550A troubleshooting or repair services. ALI also offers Certified Gas Calibration Standards (zero + span) in disposable cylinders. We also distribute safe, Hydrogen Generators that are recommended to customers with restrictions on use of hydrogen gas cylinders. Clean, economical Zero Grade Air generation systems are also available.

Basic Instrument Package*

- A GOW-MAC^® Instrument Co. Model 23-550A (specify 120 VAC or 240 VAC service + 4-20 mA Output + Alarm options) + chassis-mounted GIS valve. This instrument is set for use with 100% Hydrogen fuel gas.

- 2 pressure regulators (single stage PRE-SET @ 20 psig delivery pressure, CGA-165 inlet + 1/16" compression outlet fittings (for Zero & Span Cal Gas Standards).

- 4, 6’ lengths of pre-swaged 1/16" tubing + 2, 1/16" to 1/8" ss adapter fittings for Zero/Span/H₂/Air Connections.

- 1, 3’ length of pre-swaged 1/16" tubing + 1/16" to 1/8" ss adapter fitting (GIS -THC Sample Inlet connection)

- 1, 1.5' length of 1/16" pre-swaged SulfInert passivated tubing (GAS-5™ -to-GIS Valve connection).

- 1 GOW-MAC^® Instrument Co. 23-550A Operations Manual + ALI GAS-5™ / THA-10.0™ Interface Instructions + GAS-5™ / THC Method.

*Note: Zero + Span Gas standards or pressure regulators for H₂ or Air supply are not included. Optional service contracts (e.g. instrument exchange) are recommended for international customers.

Purchase / Terms of Payment / Delivery Schedule

Purchases can be made by phone / fax / e-mail using a Purchase Order (if ALI approved), US Bank Certified Check or E-Bank Transfer. A 50% deposit is required. Full payment must be received before ship-ment (unless PO authorized). Delivery typically requires 6-8 weeks after order placement.
