% CO₂ Purity Test Equipment

To perform ISBT Method 2.0 "CARBON DIOXIDE % PURITY (ASSAY) BY CAUSTIC ABSORPTION METHODS", ALI offers the ZN-49 Kit for Zahm-Nagel % CO₂ purity tests*. ALI also provides several accessories with this kit for easy and proper CO₂ purge / sample fill operations.

* To perform ISBT Method 2.0, the user must also have appropriately passivated support equipment and supplies that are NOT included in the ZN-49 Kit. This includes: 1L sample cylinder, flexible, high-pressure sampling line, vaporizer-pressure regulator/needle valve assembly (10 psig [69 kPa] maximum delivery) or an approved check valve/pressure limiting device, inert, plastic hose, metal and/or plastic connecting fittings, 30% v/v caustic reagent + personal safety equipment.

With a ZN-49 Kit, ISBT % purity tests can be rapidly and easily performed by non-technical personnel after minimal training. It is designed for:

Components

-ZN-49: A Zahm-Nagel instrument capable of measuring CO₂ purity from 99.00 - 99.99 % v/v*.

-Z-Purge Kit: A 250 cc plastic conical flask/rubber stopper/hose assembly + vinyl-coated donut weight (0.5 lb.). This trap kit is needed for efficient Zahm-Nagel purging/filling operations as per ISBT Method 2.0.

-ZINST-49: A set of pictorial instructions (in addition to Zahm-Nagel manufacturer's instructions). Note: Users are strongly recommended to purchase a copy of the latest ISBT CO₂ test method document directly from the ISBT* office.

Recommended Accessories

-SPC-1L: Sulfinert passivated 1L metal cylinder with dip-tube for ISBT Sampling Method 1.0.

-ST-3: Sulfinert + PTFE passivated 3', flexible, high pressure sampling tubing.

-SPRA-1800: Sulfinert passivated, 1800 psig [12,400 kPa] pressure-relief assembly for interfacing ST-3 tubing to a CO₂ source-sampling valve and a SPC-1L cylinder.

-CS-25: Cylinder Support for secure, vertical mounting of an SPC-1L during testing.

-CRYGL-14: The safe sampling of liquid CO2 requires several types of safety equipment including cryogenic safety gloves. ALI recommends these 14” long gloves for ISBT liquid CO₂ sampling.

-SAFE-T-SHIELD: This ergonomic face shield is recommended for ISBT sampling.

-VPR-120 Sulfinert passivated liquid CO₂ vaporizer-pressure regulator (120 VAC).

-ZCheck-5™ : Sulfinert passivated 5-psig [34 kPa] check valve assembly (with 1’ ST-1 inlet & 12" side-port connecting tubing). A ZCheck-5™ interfaces between a VPR-120 and Z-49 inlet port. It is highly recommended for safe performance of ISBT Method 2.0.
